Today, the dance world has become largely superficial, an exclusive world of tricks rather than aesthetic beauty, power, and feeling. My piece is set to a song that pulls one back to that simple, striking power of that can be achieved with just the music and the mirror. My favorite place is that moment of joy, that rare flash of complete confidence and power within myself that is achieved when I allow myself to let go. My choreography is designed to reflect artistic and technical prowess coupled with that ecstatic abandon.
