I was inspired to create this work because "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" is somewhere where everything is perfect. Even though this place does not exist, it's a place that's nice to fantasize about every now and then. This is a place where there is no discrimination against others and no violence. Everything is right there. I chose to express myself through dance because I feel that it is the best way for me to provide an outlet for my feelings and emotions. I feel I am better at showing the way I feel through movements instead of writing an essay or drawing a picture. This song displayed my favorite place by far.
